Client: Canada's Largest Cable T.V. and Communications
Company
Assignment: To train front-line technicians
to feel comfortable and confident selling cable products and
services in addition to their existing service and installation
responsibilities.
Solution: We invested over two weeks on in-the-field
research with cable technicians in Toronto, Kitchener and Newmarket.
We also spent time interviewing management level personnel on
specific areas where they felt skills needed to be developed.
Using the information gained from this discovery exercise, we
designed and delivered a customized "building block"
sales skills training program to cable technicians in all major
population centres in Ontario as well as New Brunswick and Newfoundland.
Result: The client registered an immediate
improvement in qualified sales from technicians - in some cases
a doubling or tripling of sales results immediately following
training. Through the introduction of recommended incentive
programs, technicians were encouraged to deploy new sales skills
to achieve success in reaching reward targets. The client then
extended the training program to include independently contracted
cable technicians - with similar results.
Client: International Travel Agency (Australia,
Canada and U.S.A.)
Assignment: Extremely fast corporate growth
meant internal training programs were struggling to keep pace
with the influx of new hires on top of the training needs of
existing sales consultants. The company had never outsourced
training before and had very specific needs in terms of dovetailing
the outside training program with existing internal courseware.
Solution: We invested time in client's travel
agencies observing agent/customer interactions, gaining first-hand
knowledge of challenges and opportunities. We then designed
and delivered a customized program focusing on specific skill
sets that were relevant to both face-to-face and telephone selling
opportunities.
Outcome: Documented 35% increase in agent-generated
revenue the first month after training. Training program extended
to include all customer-facing employees.
